Friday saw the release of a video message from Kate, who stated, “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery.”
The Princess of Wales, Kate, revealed on Friday that she is receiving chemotherapy for cancer.
Following weeks of conjecture on social media over her location and health since being sent to the hospital in January for an undisclosed stomach operation, her status was finally revealed in a video message taped on Wednesday and shown on Friday.
Following her operation, Kate’s cancer diagnosis was revealed to be of an unidentified sort. She requested “time, space and privacy” during her treatment.
“I’m fine,” she declared. “By concentrating on the things that will aid in my healing, I am growing stronger every day.”
Before footage of Kate, 42, and her husband, Prince William, the heir to the throne, emerged this week, they had not been spotted in public since Christmas. They were leaving a farm store close to their Windsor residence.
With the exception of stating that Kate’s operation was successful, her health was not connected to cancer, and her recovery would prevent her from performing public responsibilities until April, Kensington Palace has provided very little information regarding her condition. According to Kate, testing had previously shown that her illness was not malignant.
For the benefit of our small family, William and I have been doing everything we can to discreetly digest and handle this, she added. “This came as a huge shock, of course.”
Following the revelation last month that King Charles III was receiving treatment for an unidentified kind of cancer discovered during a surgery for a benign enlarged prostate, the news represents yet another startling turn in the royal family’s history. Kate “has shown tremendous bravery,” according to a statement from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. “She has been subjected to intense scrutiny and has been unfairly treated by certain sections of the media around the world and on social media in recent weeks,” the speaker continued.
Although Charles, 75, has stepped back from public life while receiving cancer treatment, he has been often spotted in pictures attending church and participating in meetings with dignitaries and government representatives.
Conversely, Kate had been absent, sparking weeks of rumors and conjecture. Her attempts to quell speculations with the release of a picture of herself on Mother’s Day in the UK with her three happy kids failed when The Associated Press and other news organizations withdrew the picture due to manipulation.
The next day, Kate released a statement in which she said she enjoyed to “experiment with editing” and expressed her regret for “any confusion” the image may have created. However, that didn’t really stop the rumors.

Even the tape that seemed to show Kate and William shopping and was released by The Sun and TMZ triggered a fresh round of rumors, with some conspiracy theorists unwilling to accept that Kate was even in the video.
A British privacy watchdog announced earlier this week that it was looking into a claim that while she was undergoing abdominal surgery, employees at the upscale London hospital where she was treated attempted to go at her medical records.
More than any other royal since Princess Diana, the former Kate Middleton, who wed William in a picture-perfect ceremony in 2011, has increased the attraction and popularity of the British monarchy around the world.
Raised in a posh area in Berkshire, west of London, the princess is the eldest of three kids. The Middletons are not of noble descent, and Kate was frequently called a “commoner” marrying into the royal family by the British media.
Kate met William in 2001 while attending the University of St Andrews in Scotland, after first attending the prestigious girls’ school Marlborough College. They were initially housemates and friends, but when they were seen together in 2004 while on a skiing vacation in Switzerland, their relationship gained attention.
2005 saw Kate graduate with a degree in art history and a developing romance with the prince.
