Paris Olympics 2024 Day 1 India Full Schedule:When the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team begins Day 1 on Saturday, all eyes will be on India’s shooting team. India’s medal aspirations in the event will be carried by Ramita Jindal-Arjun Babuta and Elavenil Valarivan-Sandeep Singh; the medal matches are scheduled for later in the day. The top four qualifying teams advance to the medal rounds, where the top two teams will play for gold and the other two for bronze. In the 10m air pistol competitions, Arjun Singh Cheema, Sarajbot Singh, Manu Bhaker, and Rhythm Sangwan will also compete; Day 1 will only include the qualifiers.
In Tokyo 2020, India was represented by the largest shooting contingent, comprising 15 athletes. Pistol shooter Saurabh Chaudhary was the only shooter to have qualified for the finals, while rifle shooters produced below-par performances.
In badminton, Lakshya Sen will compete in a men’s singles group match, while Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will play in the men’s doubles. Meanwhile, the Indian hockey squad will begin their campaign against New Zealand in Pool B. Later in the day, the legendary Rohan Bopanna and N Sriram Balaji will start their farewell Olympic match in the men’s doubles.
